That Cat
Paddy and Lindsey O'Callaghan invited me over
For a meal and it was a real bonus that —
They just happen to own a very beautiful cat!

She answers to Kulu, short for her long pedigree name,
And with her beautiful blue eyes, she courted my
Attention with not the slightest hint of shame.

I suppose when one is something of a very special Birman,
And one's silky, ivory coat could be taken for ermine,

I feel certain that a certain respect is due
To a creature with such fine attributes, given to few.

She, of course, has a mind of her own, and
	Chooses her friends with care,
And if you are very lucky, she will allow you to
	Gently stroke her hair.
