Yesterday I had to Leave

Yesterday I had to leave
    But I did not mean for you to grieve.
So I left the "mike" to another hand
    Knowing she would treat you grand.

"Taty's Mom" to most of you,
    "Sharon Kalani" to quite a few.
Now you know that she's the one
    To announce, and do poetry, and just have fun.

Well, once again, being the sport,
    I'm the taxi driver to the airport.
Judges fly out and Judges fly in;
    And so, I'm sorry, but I must leave again.

On the occasion of needing to leave the announcer's stand the
second day in a row to take a trip to the airport.
