|Fair Winds design
jewelry is made with only the highest quality materials. I strive for the
highest excellence in professional craftsmanship. My greatest hope is that
you value and enjoy your jewelry as much as I enjoy making it. All
my work is hand crafted, so there will be minor variations. Even stock
pieces are “one of a kind.” Please allow for these slight differences
as no two pieces are identical. Material and craftsmanship are warrantied.
All gold and silver is as per quality mark or as stated if not marked.
All stones are genuine as stated.
E-mail me at deceased.
I will take the time to determine every detail of the piece of jewelry you'd like.
Let me know how you'd like to be contacted. We can discuss your design
via e-mail or I can telephone you at your convenience. If necessary,
I will e-mail you (or set up a demo page) with images of stones or designs
for your approval. I will try to give you an estimate for completion
time. This will only be an estimate, handmade jewelry takes time
and inherently has some uncertainty. In any case, I will keep you
notified of the progress via e-mail. If you have a date-sensitive
job like a wedding or birthday, please let me know; I’ll go out of my way
Price:The price I quote will be the price you pay – no surprises. As we design your jewelry, I will let you know of cost changes for specific stones, changes in design, or custom requests before you decide on your order. Once you have placed an order, I will not change the price regardless of fluctuations of metal or stone prices in the market. The price will only change if you decide to change some detail of your order. (For orders originating outside the United States, the customer is responsible for all customs costs, duty fees and taxes originating in their country.)
I will identify my jewelry as one of three categories:
Standard:Though I keep some jewelry in stock, all my designs are custom to some degree or another. You may partially customized a piece. Maybe you would like to select the type of stone. Maybe you want a particular weave or pattern. Rings may be sized to fit you or the person the ring is for. I will work with you and assist you in choosing the piece you really want. Stock pieces are fully warrantied for satisfaction.
Custom:Some pieces are made totally custom for you. If you to order a custom piece, the piece will be identified as "custom" during the ordering process and will require a non-refundable, 50% deposit. My guarantee is that custom pieces will match the final design you approved including the dimensions of the piece, the stones and metals used. I fully warrantee the material and craftsmanship subject to the general return policy.
Personalized:You may want a piece, either standard or custom, personalized for you. If the piece is a gift, you might want the person's initials or name engraved, stamped or crafted into the piece. Or you might want your own initials or name. Or you might want an inscription or dates on the piece. If you to order a personalized piece, the piece will be identified as "personalized" during the ordering process. Personalized pieces are NOT returnable.
Payment:All payments should be in U.S. dollars.
U.S. Customers: For your convenience, we accept personal checks, money orders, and bank checks.
Non-U.S. Customers: Fair Winds design accepts bank checks in U.S. dollars. [Payment in non-U.S. dollars will cause long delays in processing your order.]

Shipping:Once Fair Winds design has received your payment*, your order will be shipped using the U.S. Post Office. I ship USPS Priority (normally 2 to 3 day delivery) by the U.S. Postal Service. (I have found this to be the safest and most secure form of shipping for jewelry and gemstones.) I self-insure lower cost items and insure more expensive items with the U.S. Postal Service. If your item is time-critical, I can ship USPS Express Mail (normally next day or two day delivery) for an additional charge. I can ship to street addresses, business addresses, Post Office boxes, FPO’s or APO’s (FPO’s and APO’s allow for a longer delivery time). Should you require shipment to an alternative address for a gift or other reason, please let me know. If you require shipment by FedEx, UPS or DHL, additional charges will apply.
We do ship to many places outside the United States, but we reserve the right to refuse international orders based on amount and/or location. The customer will be responsible for local customs and taxes. I also reserve the right to screen service for personal reasons.

for your check to clear before shipping.
Legal Notice:I make jewelry only from my own original designs, from historic Celtic, Nautical, and Cherokee designs, or from those designs conceived by working with a client to create a new unique piece. I am very pleased to work with you to create a “one-of-a-kind” piece of jewelry that incorporates gemstones and metals of your choice within my design style. But please do not ask me to copy a contemporary piece of jewelry or work as this might infringe on copyright laws.
