[carrick bend gif]       Carrick Bend
[photo of selection of knots bend (Naut.) 1. v. to fasten. 2.n. a knot used to fasten two lines together

A Carrick Bend is used to bend together two hawsers (very large ropes). The knot's smooth curves put as low a strain as possible on the line.

I made this brooch in sterling silver for my wife as a Valentine's present.

(Prices vary based on guage of wire and the price of silver or gold.) Plus Shipping and Handling (and Sales Tax in New Mexico).

NOTE: The artist is a mariner. Since he is at sea for half the year, responses to correspondence or orders may take up to four months. Please be patient. He learned his art at sea--the sea is part of his art.
Thank you.
