Subject: Chisholm and Chism question?
Date: Wed, 7 Aug 2002 11:49:45 -0500

Grey,
I have a Chism researcher, and My Chisms were in Ark. As early as 1816, My Elisha Chism and his wife Wenny or also known as Winnifred was in Lawrence county, Ark. 1820 on the census, Elisha died in intestate and someone appointed his wife Wenny as administer. The will named one child Washington Childers. I can help but think I am related to this line?

Elisha was in the same county in Lawrence as Ignatious and Dennis. Do you happen to know anything about this line.

There also was a Benjamin Chism born 1798, married Polly Walker, I believe he was a son of Elisha. Polly Walker was a daughter of John Walker and Blair.

Your Chisholm's left for Oklahoma and my line stayed. They were in Independence, Izard, Searcy and Pope county, Arkansas.
Polly and Benjamin had children:
Isham, Henderson, Thomas, William who was born 1827, Benjamin, Elisha, James, Wenny, Elizabeth and Washington.
William Chism married a Mary Lewallen or Walling about 1858, Mary was born 1839, Tn.
They had children
Thomas, John Green , and Mary.
Thomas married Alabama Reeves they had children
John Henry Chism , Albert and Delicina
John Henry married Rosa Bell Ford, these were my g g grandparents.

Can you shed some light on these families?

Vickie
