Jesse Chisholm's Cherokee UNICODE Font Comparison

The purpose of this page is to compare the UNICODE fonts that contain the Cherokee codepoints, (the ones that I know of) against each other to see which style you like. For seeing the Font's keyboard layouts, go to my Keyboard page. For information on the various fonts (that I know of), go to my Which Font page.

The left most column is the name of the Cherokee syllable.

The second column is a GIF image of that Cherokee syllable.

Columns 3 through the end (the ones in maroon) display the Cherokee syllable in the named font, if that font is available.

NOTE: Just because you have a font installed, doesn't guarantee that it is available to your browser.

NOTE: If two of the maroon columns look exactly alike, this can mean two things:

  1. Your browser is using the same UNCODE font for them both even though I requested a different font.
  2. That one of the fonts is not available.

Sadly, I can't easily tell which from inside the web page, so my "available/not available" may be wrong.

HINT: Look at the capital letter "J" in the examples below, they should all be different from each other.

Font Face(?)Example (requesting that font face)
